Can I visit multiple countries with long stay travel insurance?add remove
If you are planning to visit multiple countries during your trip, then you need to tell us every country you’re going to, when you take out your quote for single trip insurance. This is because the cost of claims can vary by country, for example in the USA where medical treatment is very high.
So even if you have a layover in another country, you should tell us when getting your quote, to make sure you’re protected if you need to claim.
What’s the difference between long stay and annual travel insurance?add remove
An annual travel insurance policy lets you go on multiple trips in a year. But these trips are often limited by a number of days, such as 35 days per trip. If you are going on a longer trip, you might be better off with a single trip policy that covers you up to 365 days in a year.
Enter your dates when you get a quote and you’ll be shown what your cover options are.

Can I extend my insurance while I’m away?add remove
If you’re enjoying your time away, you might want to stay a little longer. But you’ll have to contact the customer services team to see if they can extend your travel policy if you have a single trip policy.
It’s important to do this before you rearrange flights or add extra days to your hotel stay, as you want to make sure you’ll be covered if you do so.
